Minnesota Public Radio, on the eighth anniversary of the death of former Carleton professor and U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, ran a lengthy piece documenting the FBI's interest in Wellstone, first as an anti-war protester and later in protecting him from and investigating death threats when he was elected to the United States Senate. The report comes on the heels of the release of 219 pages of reports on Paul and Sheila Wellstone, many of which are being made public for the first time after a Freedom of Information Act request by MPR News
