<title>Photo Feature: FireBellies Foodgressive</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;This weekend Carleton’s cooking club, FireBellies, hosted a “foodgressive,” teaming up with a range of clubs on campus to showcase cuisines from around the world. Scandinavian Club, Chinese Club, Multicultural Cooking Club, Food Truth, and MOSAIC each hosted stops around campus featuring everything from Scandinavian Chocolate Balls to Indian Cabbage Bajjis. Attendees munched, mingled, and enjoyed a bona fide culinary adventure. Stay tuned for more FireBellies events this term!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;On Saturday, the Carleton Choir and the Minnesota Baroque Orchestra presented highlights from Handel's &quot;Messiah&quot; to a full audience of students, parents, and Northfield residents. Prior to the concert, professors Richard Crouter and Stephen Kelly gave lectures about the piece and its history. The program included several student soloists including Caroline Bolster, Lilian Ferris, Hannah Telegen, Anthony Harb, Julian Pozniak, Ethan Sagin, and Patrick Stephen.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>An Angry Woman: Saudi Activist Manar Alsharif Shares Her Story of Defiance and Liberation</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Manar Alsharif was angry.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;A 30-year-old Saudi wife, mother and working professional, she faced harassment, sometimes violent, when walking down the street unaccompanied. “You deserve whatever happens to you when you uncover your face,” she was told. And despite her age and accomplishments, Alsharif was still forced to hire a male driver if she wanted to avoid walking. In Saudi Arabia, while not technically illegal, it is socially unacceptable for women to drive.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Carleton Astronomer Designs Time Map To Be Sent Into Perpetual Orbit</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;A Carleton College professor’s project has been launched into an orbit that may last for billions of years. &lt;strong&gt;Joel Weisberg&lt;/strong&gt;, the &lt;strong&gt;Herman and Gertrude Mosier Stark Professor of Physics and Astronomy and the Natural Sciences&lt;/strong&gt;, created a time map that is attached to EchoStar XVI, which launched from a pad in Kazakhstan on Tuesday, Nov. 20 into outer space. The artifact will remain in the Earth’s geosynchronous orbit in virtual perpetuity.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
