Professor of Chemistry Trish Ferrett, Co-Director of the Carleton Interdisciplinary Science Initiative (CISMI) and Senior Research Fellow at SERC, designed and participated in a faculty workshop at Carleton in June funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. The workshop is the first of several in 2009-10 involving a small cohort of nine faculty from five colleges who are doing scholarly classroom inquiry into interdisciplinary science learning. The workshop was facilitated by Whitney Schlegel, Professor of Biology and Director of Human Biology at Indiana University.
