Frequently Asked Questions

Is my personal property insured anywhere on campus (your room or storage)?

Carleton College does not insure and is not responsible for loss or damage from any cause to the personal property of students (including items in storage).

An optional insurance program is available to help protect your personal property in the event that it is damaged or stolen.  Some examples of this include: fire damage, water damage, property damage from a slip or fall; or stolen property, such as a laptop.  You may be eligible to have these items replaced at full cost subject to a $100.00 deductible.   Visit GradGuard Renters Insurance for additional information.
