Fall Term Student Account/Tuition Information
The fall term student account balance is due August 15, 2013.
For many families, finances are the "scariest" part of attending college. Rest assured that it is the goal of the Carleton Business Office to provide comfort and assistance to you.
Your student account statements are provided electronically through the secure student portal, The Hub. An e-mail notice is provided to inform you when your statement is available and ready for payment. The statement can be viewed or printed from the browser, or it can be downloaded as a PDF document. You can log into the Hub using the username that was sent to you in mailing #1, "Connecting to Carleton" and your reset password.
You will not receive a paper copy of your statement. It is your responsibility to make this statement available to your parents or other individuals who may be assisting you with payment (this is also a great opportunity to express gratitude). Please consider setting up a parent/guest account on the Hub to give them easy access to your student account statement and other information you choose.
Your student account statement shows tuition, room, board, and the Carleton Student Association (CSA) fee. The statement also shows payments, college grants and other financial aid awards applied to your account for the fall term. Outside scholarships (tuition benefits, Rotary scholarships, etc.) have been credited to this term if the funds have been received by Carleton. Other fees will be applied to your student account over the course of the school year, if applicable. These fees may include music lessons, art material fees, library fines, health and counseling bills, parking registration, parking violations, and various other fees.
For those enrolled in the monthly payment plan, we have credited your student account for 1/3 of the total amount contracted through TuitionPay using the description "Fall Mthly Pymt Est." The "Amount to Pay" on the statement is the amount due in addition to your monthly payment plan. Please continue your monthly payments to TuitionPay.
If you have accepted a student employment position and elected to apply all or part of your work earnings to your student account, please keep in mind that these funds are not applied until they have been earned and processed through payroll. You may estimate your fall earnings and reduce the current balance due if you assign a percent of your earnings to go to your student account using the online Student Payroll Tuition Payment Authorization form located on the Hub.

We wish to stress the importance of timely payments. Carleton College reserves the right to withdraw a student if their payment schedule has not been met or their health insurance forms have not been received.
Online payments can be made electronically through The Hub. This secure payment portal confirms the balance due on your student account and allows you to enter your US domestic bank routing number and account number for automatic clearing house (ACH) payment. Families without US domestic bank accounts may make payment by international wire transfer. Please contact the Business Office for Carleton College's bank information for wire transfers. Credit cards are not accepted for payment on student accounts.
