Most students will work at least some hours between now and graduation and a majority accept at least one loan. This session will information on student employment, student loans and payroll at Carleton.

Come listen to a panel of faculty from a range of disciplines. They will share their thoughts on academics, your first term, faculty expectations, study habits, office hours, and general strategies for thriving, not just surviving, at Carleton.
2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND FILE SHARING, Skinner Memorial Chapel
What is the DMCA and why should you care? Who are the RIAA and the MPAA? Does file sharing equal copyright infringement? We’ll talk about all of these things, as well as provide an overview of academic integrity at Carleton. Presented by Joe Baggot, associate dean of students/first-year class dean and Austin Robinson-Coolidge, computing support services manager.

Talk with faculty and student departmental advisers about course selection, placement, and anything else that’s on your mind. If you have been assigned or plan to have a work study position, this is another great time to complete your employment paperwork.

This is a chance to meet residents of your hall, beyond your floor mates, and your Residence Life staff. Your Resident Assistant(s) will inform you of your hall social location at your first floor meeting.
