Joel Alden Schlosser Honored by the Western Political Science Association
A paper by Joel Alden Schlosser, visiting assistant professor of political science, received the Best Paper on Blacks and Politics Award by the Western Political Science Association's Committee on the Status of Blacks in the Profession. Entitled "Engaging a Black American Socrates: James Baldwin's Socratism and Race in America," Schlosser presented the paper at the 2008 WPSA conferencein Vancouver and will accept the award this month in San Francisco.
