As part of the mid-term break festivities, on Friday, Feb. 4, Carleton’s Food and
Dining Services hosted their annual chili eating contest.

Students were allowed a half hour to consume four progressively hotter bowls of the succulent yet challenging food. For those who struggled through the heat of competition the prize was well worth the effort: a lovely lime green t-shirt. Many of the 60 participants completed the task, some with seemingly no effort. “I got it done fairly quickly,” said sophomore Jack Gibbons. “After a childhood of
tortuously hot food, this chili simply didn’t have a chance.”
