Reason 4.0 Beta 5 is now available.
This release removes or makes more flexible a number of Reason dependencies:
- Reason no longer requires any PEAR libraries. Many of the libraries used had not been updated for some time and had poor compatibility with PHP 5.
- Tidy functionality now works with either tidylib or the command line tidy.
- Curl support is now implemented through libcurlemu, which should provide support for curl functionality through the curl php extension, command line curl, or through curl emulation.
Along with a reduction in dependencies, this release has a much smarter setup script which should identify and provide helpful instructions regarding a variety of common Reason installation problems.
A variety of bug/security fixes, performance enhancements, and additional features are included as well. More complete information can be found on the Reason Change Log.
