Reason 4 Beta 7 is now available.
This is a fairly major upgrade. If you are updating an existing install of Reason, make sure to run all the Reason 4 Beta 6 to Reason 4 Beta 7 upgrade scripts. Your form pages will not function properly until you run the scripts. Anytime you upgrade reason, load the file reason_package/reason_upgrade.php in your browser in order to find the most current upgrade scripts.
Notable changes in Reason 4 Beta 7 include:
- An object caching framework with memcached support has been added to carl_util.
- The site content manager provides custom footer text options for reason sites.
- Reason pages can now be restricted to groups.
- The form module has been rewritten - key changes include:
- thor forms can now be configured to be editable by the submitter
- thor forms can be configured to allow multiple submissions from a submitter
- thor forms can e-mail the submitter
- a framework allows developers to create resusable "views" that provide customization on top of a thor form
- Loki 2 RC8 replaces Loki 2 RC1, and includes many changes.
