Read Before Continuing:
The following page contains the preliminary budget for the 2006-2007 fiscal year as allocated by Budget Committee and approved by Senate.
- This information does not take into consideration the "rollover" that will occur at the end of spring term 2007, as this number is impossible to estimate beforehand. Rollover will be separated into a number of different accounts for dispersal through Special Allocations throughout the upcoming year.
- Spring Allocations is not meant to fund group activities or programs for the upcoming year - rather, it is meant to provide a temporary minimum operating budget, which can then be supplemented by requesting additional funds for programming through Special Allocations.
- Money granted to student organizations on the following page includes additional money allocated during the appeals process.
- CSA money available comes primarily from the Student Activity Fee, which will be $189 next year, per student. A nominal amount of funds also come from vending and laundry services.
- Due to the adoption of a new newspaper program, those costs have increased from $4,000 a year to $15,000 a year.
- Generally, $5 was allocated for printing for promotional/advertising purposes. Printing from Carleton Printing and Mailing Services costs .02-.03 a page.
- Operating Budget requests were generally granted up to $75.
All student organizations are encouraged to submit budget requests through the regular Special Allocations process during the upcoming year. This will supplement the money given during Spring Allocations.
