CSA Senate endorses Resolution Concerning Retention Rates

May 22, 2008
By flemingc

The CSA Senate recently voted to endorse a Resolution charging the College to address low retention rates for black students at Carleton by reevaluating the RAD requirement, introducing a power and privilege training program for First Year Students, and engaging the community in dialogue about ways to improve the campus climate for marginalized students. Included in the resolution was a commitment by Senate to actively engage in these dialogues and participate in a privilege training program. You can find minutes of the discussion, along with the full text of the resolution here.
