Philosophy of the Program

Having taught children from ages pre-school through fourth grade, Barb is aware of the various levels of children in this program.  While this range in ages can prove challenging at times, it can also be an incredibly rewarding and positive experience for all involved.  She believes that it is very important for the children to be able to look back on their experience in the children’s program at Carleton as an enjoyable one that they will remember for some time.

Program Goal

The children’s program is set up to provide interesting and fun activities for the children.  We attempt to offer a wide range of activities taking into account the varying ages and interests of the children in the program.   Each year it is encouraging to see how quickly the children relate to one another.  The staff have seen some children form wonderful friendships during the two days.  They are pleased to be involved in such a program.

Activities include a mix of art, music, games, movies, swimming, nature activities, and an Arb walk led by student naturalists. Please use the special section on the registration form to register your child in advance. Parents must sign an emergency medical authorization slip and provide a cell phone number in case of emergency. For safety reasons, children may only join or leave the program at pre-set times.

The information may have slight changes.  Be sure to get a schedule when you arrive to reunion for the most up-to-date times and locations
