Minnesota AIDS Walk

Minnesota AIDS Walk

The Minnesota AIDS Walk, part of the larger Minnesota AIDS Project, is the state's largest AIDS-related fundraising event. Since 1988, thousands of people have raised millions of dollars to fund HIV-related research and support for HIV-positive individuals in Minnesota. All proceeds raised stay in Minnesota. Visit the Minnesota AIDS walk website for more information. This year's walk is Sunday, May 19th.

The 2012 Minnesota AIDS walk was a huge success, and AHA! is hoping to contribute to the success of the 2013 campaign. We will be planning transportation to Minneapolis for the event for all Carls and friends who want to walk in support of the Project's efforts. There will also be a fundraising drive to generate a contribution on Carleton's behalf. Please feel free to contact AHA! about helping out! In the past we have collaborated with the Coalition of Hmong Students (CHS), the Black Student Alliance (BSA), and the Minority Students Pre-Health Coalition (MSPC).

You can join our team by going to the MN AIDS Walk website and following the instructions for joining a team (PDF at right). When the website asks how you want to join the Walk, select "Join an existing team." AHA's team name is "Carleton College AHA." Please contact AHA President Amelia Schlossberg so that you can join our fundraising team and carpool to Minneapolis with us!
