Services offered:
To get tested for STIs, make an appointment with an advance practice nurse/nurse practitioner, or tell the receptionist what you specifically want to be tested for (if you are comfortable providing that information). You can also come in to talk to a nurse about finding another testing site that is affordable and confidential; STI counseling is free and confidential at Student Health and Counseling.
Student Health and Counseling offers a limited array of testing options. They offer Chlamydia/Gonorrhea testing, both DNA probe and LCR urine test, for $45 (prices subject to change). They are also available to perform pap smears and testing for vaginal infections for $25 and $15, respectively.
Student Health and Counseling also offers $10 HIV testing throughout the term. Additionally, the Rural AIDS Action Network comes to Carleton once per term to provide free OraSure HIV testing. Call x4080 for more information on testing dates and to make an appointment.
Local Medical Clinics
Local clinics, including Allina Medical Clinic, Women's Health Center, the Family Medical Health Clinic, and Northfield Urgent care (see full list here) may offer testing for STIs; call to check for services and prices.
