The CarlDems are a group of enthusiastic, motivated, and Democratically minded students at Carleton College. Our aim is to promote Democratic politics and values in Minnesota - the proudest political state in the country! We come from a long legacy of politically minded people in the Carleton community, including the great Senator Paul Wellstone, a professor at Carleton for over 20 years.

This club has made it presence felt on the state, local and national level. We count two exemplary GOTV (Get out the vote) efforts in our list of accomplishments. One helped to elect David Bly, the Representative for our State House district, in an extremely close race. The other helped to elect State Senator Kevin Dahle, giving the DFL a veto-proof majority in the State Senate.
