J Street U is hosting a vigil to commemorate the losses suffered by both sides in the latest round of fighting in Gaza. We hope to gather together in an act of shared mourning - one that also acknowledges the asymmetrical power reflected in the number of dead. And as we acknowledge the power endemic in this ongoing conflict, we will also reflect upon the unique ability of Americans to help bring about an end to the root causes of the death: occupation and conflict.
