GETTING INVOLVED

Engineers Without Borders - Carleton College needs your help! Here's what you can do:

Becoming a member is easy. Any Carleton Student interested in helping develop a better world community, regardless of major or area of study is welcome! Engineers Without Borders – Carleton College needs a diverse roster of members from all areas of interest to offer new and unique insight to our project development, event organization, fundraising, and more! Don’t have a lot of time? We understand! Whether you come once a week, once a month, or once your homework is done, your input and participation is always valuable. Becoming a member gives you the opportunity to participate in EWB social events, project selection, and fundraising efforts. Members are also eligible to go on trips to national conferences and workshops, and project trips to communities around the world! Furthermore, as a member you become part of a tremendous community of individuals dedicated to helping people of all races, nationalities, and religions around the globe. To become a member, simply email ewb-cc@carleton.edu.

Not a member of the Carleton Community? No Problem! We welcome anyone interested in humanitarian aid and service. Come to a meeting, listed on the calendar page or join our mailing list to receive the EWB-CC newsletter with updates on our meetings and projects throughout the year. Have an idea or suggestion but can’t make it to a meeting? We would love to hear from you! Email ewb-cc@carleton.edu with your input.

Spread the word! Engineers Without Borders relies on conscientious individuals who want to help, like you! Telling friends, family, and co-workers about who we are and what we do will allow us to help more communities around the world and make a stronger global community. Making a Donation. EWB-CC relies on the generous support of its friends and family. Although the national organization, EWB-USA, provides access to numerous projects around the world, funding for specific projects remains up to the individual chapter. Each project is designed to be as cost effective as possible, and extensive research is done to ensure the materials used are sustainable and environmentally friendly. Host communities can also offer labor and invaluable knowledge of local resources. However, the material cost of the project and airfare involved can be expensive.
