Becca Giles, 2015
Becca is a junior History major from Eau Claire, WI. She has been on Carleton's Model United Nations team for three years and has been a member of the International Relations Council Board for one year. In addition to participating in Model UN, Becca serves as President of the Carleton Student Association and works as a Student Career Assistant at Carleton's Career Center. In her spare time, Becca enjoys playing frisbee, reading realistic fiction, keeping up with current events, and watching the Green Bay Packers dominate the NFL. In the future, Becca would like to pursue a career in journalism, communications or politics.
Henry Gordon, 2015
Henry is a junior Political Science major from the beautiful metropolis of Portland, Oregon. He is a third year member of the team, and has served as treasurer of the board for the past year. In addition to Model United Nations, Henry serves on the Carleton Student Association, designs lights for the campus comedy groups, and plays competitive Ultimate.
Aditya Nagendran, 2015
Aditya is a junior Economics/IR major originally who calls Bangalore, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur home. This is his third year on both the Model UN board and team. Outside of Model UN, Aditya is a member of the Governance Committee and is interested in the Microfinance Club and international development in general. He is also an avid cricket fan. Aditya hopes to pursue a career in consulting after graduation.
Bibek Pokharel, 2015
Bibek is from Nepal and is majoring in Physics and Mathematics. He is also involved with Mosaic of South Asian Interests at Carleton (MOSAIC). He is an aspiring physicist and is interested in academic side of physics (research and teaching) and the link between science and public policy. He loves talking about global affairs, physics, philosophy, math religion and almost anything that has an intellectual touch to it. Bibek is dedicated connecting the Carleton bubble to the “outside world” through IRC and MUN.
Kabir Sarjan, 2016
Kabir is a sophomore Economics major with a Political Economy Concentration. He calls Hong Kong home right now, but his heart belongs to his motherland- New Delhi, India. This is his second year on the Model UN team and his first on the Board. Kabir is also a Peer Leader for the Office of Intercultural and International Life and runs MOSAIC, the South Asian Interests Club on campus. In his free time, Kabir enjoys playing the guitar, running to catch a pick-up game of squash and watching cricket or some good ol' fashioned English football (Arsenal FC!). Kabir hopes to pursue a career in either consulting, asset management or investment banking. Knowing him, he is likely to make up his mind on what he likes best in Spring term, senior year.
Bailey Ulbricht, 2015
Bailey is a junior International Relations major at Carleton with a particular interest in Syria and the Middle East. When not doing MUN, she is playing soccer for Carleton's varsity women's team, advising students in the Career Center, trying to get Syrian students scholarships in the US, or eating chocolate. She likes cheesy jokes, cozy coffee shops, and a good book.

Model United Nations Board
Joe Burson, 2016
Joe Burson is a rising junior studying Political Science and International Relations. Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, he is thrilled to be joining the Model UN board for 2014-15! He joined the MUN team as a freshman and has never looked back. On campus he has organized practices, training sessions, and started the all-campus open simulation program. Outside of MUN, he is an officer of the Carleton Democrats and a member of the Carleton Parliamentary Debate Team. In his free time, he enjoys quoting songs and movies and eating pretzels with Nutella.
John Davidson, 2015
John Davidson, a rising senior physics major, joined the Carleton Model UN team his freshman year. He has competed with the team throughout his time at Carleton and will continue to do so until graduation. Despite his scientific background, John yearns to continue his education at in the field of law. Specifically, John is interested in seeking justice. When John is not goofing off at MUN board meetings, John is playing board games or diversifying his knowledge of cinematography.

Abha Laddha, 2017
Abha is a rising sophomore and undecided. She grew up in Kolkata, India and has always been passionate about global affairs. At Carleton, she is involved with the Model United Nations team, Tamarind (the South Asian Dance club), and MOSAIC (the South Asian Interest club). She enjoys watching cricket, dancing, and watching movies. One of her dreams is to spend a considerable amount of time in Kashmir and Palestine.
Sage Mitch, 2016
Originally from Columbus, Indiana Sage is a rising junior History major. She is a member of the Model UN team and an officer with the CarlDems. Her interests include public policy, current events, musical soundtracks, music of questionable artistic value, and most things not related to exercise. Additionally Sage enjoys participating in Ebony and playing the alto saxophone at Carleton.
Emir Murathanoglu, 2016
Emir Murathanoğlu is a sophomore Economics major with a Political Economy concentration. He is from Turkey, Istanbul. It is his second year working with the IRC board. He is also a residential assistant and has multiple radio shows on KRLX, his oldest being called Turkish Delight. In his free time, Emir enjoys to play bass guitar, take photographs, play squash (horribly) and read. He hopes to pursue graduate level economics and do research on either development or natural resource management.
Reilly Simon, 2016
Reilly Simon is a rising junior from Grapevine, Texas who is in majoring in International Relations with a certificate of advanced study in Arabic. In addition to her position on the International Relations Council Board, Reilly is a member of the Model UN team as well as the Carleton Track and Field Team. She is spending the summer and fall of 2014 studying Arabic language and political science in London, England and Amman, Jordan.
