Minority Students Pre-Health Coalition
Fall Term '10 Meetings: Sundays of 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th week - 4pm - Stimson House
The Minority Students Pre-Health Coalition (MSPC) seeks to increase the number of minority undergraduate students going into the pre-health and pre-medical professions. We serve as a resource of admission and advising of pre-health information. We provide community service to the Northfield Community. We also aim to increase awareness of the Carleton College community to health issues facing minority and low-income communities.
MSPC provides informational seminars for pre-health students such as preparing for medical and other health professional school, MCAT prep, shadowing health professionals, and much more. We provide support for minority pre-health students by connecting them with fellow pre-health students through academic and social acitivities. MSPC allows students to connect with health professionals through mentor programs and also network with faculty at many professional and medical schools across the nation.
