Pre-Medicine at Carleton
Pam received her BA from Smith College and went on to get her PhD in Neurobiology from Columbia University. After graduating, she worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California at Berkeley and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She joined the Department of Physiology at the Emory University School of Medicine as a Research Assistant Professor where she worked for 6 years. In 1999, she moved to Northfield with her husband, Fernan Jaramillo and their 2 children. During these last 10 years, she has taught courses in the Biology Department and worked as a research associate in Fernan’s lab.
