Thanks to everyone who came tonight! Paul Newman has donated over 200 million dollars to thousands of charities since 1982, if you didn't know (according to the package of Newman-O's).

1) Help plan Green
Wars 2010! Green
Wars (also known as Dorm Wars) is an inter-dorm competition to reduce energy consumption for the month of February. We also compete as a college against other schools in Minnesota. If you're interested in helping out, come to a planning/interest meeting on Thursday (1/14) in Sayles 253 at 12:30 p.m.

Christa Owens and S.S. Rishad went to the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark from December 7th-18th 2009. They're holding a public presentation at the Athenaeum titled "UN Climate Change Conference: Success or Failure?" on TOMORROW from 4 pm- 5:30pm.
3) Why build a 10,000 year clock? Why are cities, nuclear power, genetic engineering and geo-engineering green? Come learn about long-term thinking with Long Now Carleton. We'll be viewing a TED talk entitled "Four Environmental Heresies" by Stewart Brand, learning about long-term thinking, and an opportunity to discuss the content. 4) Mathias Bell (the 2007-2008 ENTS intern) works for the Rocky Mountain Institute. The RMI is working with the Career Center to make a Carleton-specific internship with the Rocky Mountain Institute for this summer. More info to come later.
5) Thursday Sustainability Dinner and discussion at Farm House! This week's topic is animals, vegetarianism, and veganism in the context of sustainable agriculture. There will be a delicious dinner and informal discussion, with music and games to follow! All are welcome.
