Hey SOPE-ers!

How do you like to eat an apple? We discussed the many food and beverage ways that apples can be eaten as our intro question. If you didn't come, think about it! Sorry that it's not fall so if this question makes you crave fresh apples, we apologize!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

1) We had an extensive conversation on ice cream flavors and toppings in preparation for next week's ICE CREAM [PARTY] MEETING (we decided on chocolate chip cookie dough and moose tracks). Come and enjoy tasty ice cream and wonderful company, even if you've never made it to a SOPE meeting in the past!

2) Also next week is ELECTIONS for the new SOPE co-presidents! Email nominations (for other people or yourself) to TESS (dornfelt) by Sunday at 5 p.m. And then come to next week's meeting! And vote! (And eat ice cream!)

Tomorrow is the "Post- Katrina Symposium---New Orleans, Katrina, and the Road to Recovery: Three Perspectives" which will be in Boliou 104 at 5 p.m. Hear from Rosanne Adderley, Associate Professor of History, Tulane University; John Bardes, '08 (history), teacher, Arthur Ashe Charter School, New Orleans; and Kimberly Smith, Associate Professor, Political Science and Environmental Studies, Carleton College. Refreshments begin at 4:30 p.m.

Facilities has contacted us and wants to buy low-flow shower heads for the rest of the dorms on campus. To do this, we need to count how many shower heads we will need. Please count and send the # to Ryan (noer)!
