TEAM Minnesota

TEAM stands for the Trans-campus Energy Action Movement. It is was started about 2 years ago by a core group of colleges (Macalester, Carleton, the University, St. Olaf) who were committed to organizing environmental events across school boundaries and beginning to create a stronger student voice in state-wide environmental discussion. Since then, TEAM MN has spread to include many more schools and our goals have become more solidified.

TEAM MN operates as an organization to plan events and initiatives as well as in working groups that have specific goals (such as No New Coal). Anyone at Carleton who is interested in a working group is encouraged to get involved, and anyone who thinks TEAM MN should be addressing an issue that it isn't is more than welcome to create a new working group.

Those who are interested in TEAM Minnesota should check out the google group accessible here:

You might have to make a google account, which is easy to do. On the site are many documents including a longer elaboration on the TEAM MN vision as well as a ton of discussion that is ongoing between people at different schools.

If you have any more questions about TEAM Minnesota and how you can get involved, please don't hesitate to talk to Ray McGaughey.
