Wellstone House of Organization and Activism

We're an interest house at Carleton College focusing on grassroots political and social movements. We're located in Chaney House on Maple Street just two doors down from Watson Hall.

Last year we helped to bring activist speakers to campus (like M1 from Dead Prez), organized extensively around environmentalism and immigrants' rights issues, and conducted in-house trainings for community action.

WHOA is taking 2007-08 off from being a house. This year, we are a student group focusing on organization and activism, bringing different progressive issues together while emphasizing the role of community in social change by creating and nurturing our own. We meet for community dinners biweekly, and we'd love for you to join us!
