About the Workshop
Designed for the new BC Calculus teacher, this workshop will provide an overview of the topics included in the BC Calculus syllabus. Major AB topics will be covered briefly, but the main emphasis will be on BC-only topics. The new AP® Calculus Framework and expectations will be addressed. In addition, discussions will include curriculum design and methods of instruction, expectations and grading for the AP® exam, technology, and additional resources. Appropriate activities and teaching methods will be modeled, and participants are expected to be actively involved in the mathematics during the week. The instructor will use a TI-84 calculator during the workshop. Computer software will also be used extensively for demonstrations and graphics.
