Sustainability Assistants (STAs)
The Sustainability Assistant (STA) program is a work-study position for students dedicated to advancing sustainability at Carleton. STAs work with Facilities, Grounds, Residential Life, Bon Appetit, CCCE, the Environmental Advisory Committee, and any group that would like to further incorporate sustainability into their work. STAs focus on projects related to energy conservation, land management, waste management, food systems, sustainable policies and guidelines, publicity/outreach, events, data and reporting, and research.
If you have questions or want to work with us, look for our information on the Contact Us page. If you're interested in becoming a STA for the 2016-17 school year or summer 2016, download the application form.
The 2016-2017 STAs:
Ankita Verma '17 works on publicity in campus housing and serves as the liason between the Sustainability Office and Residential Life.
Natalie Jacobson '18 is the Special Events Coordinator for the Sustainability Office. By working on the planning of special events like Climate Action Week, she makes sustainability accessible to the campus as a whole, not just Carleton's environmental interest groups.

Julian Palmer '18 works on keeping the website updated, energy issues at Carleton, and research on Carleton's sustainability initiatives and how they can be improved.
Emma Link '18 helps track Carleton's waste production and finds ways to reduce it.
Amy Roach '18 works on publicity for Carleton sustainability events.
Jenna Greene '17
