Last Thursday marked the beginning of “Carleton Farm Volunteer Day”. That is to say, student farm interns, Ellie Youngblood’14 and Tori Ostenso’15, invited summer carls to eat tamales, be merry, and then help out on the farm. They learned how to weed and seed herb boxes, among a number of things, and even went as far as to pound in 230 tomato stakes! I am sure Ellie and Tori are very appreciative of the work they did. The next “Volunteer Day" is scheduled for Thursday, July 5th from 5:30pm - 8pm. I recommend you try to stop by the farm then. If you’re off campus or not in the area for the summer, you will miss a lot of action packed fun. But, don't worry—you can check out the Carleton Student Farm Blog to keep up with all of the cool things happening at the Farm this summer…or stay tuned HERE for more highlights from the farm.
