Inline Editing
Editing page content is pretty straightforward in Reason, but it can be a bit of a hassle when all you need to do is fix a typo. Wouldn't it be great if you could make edits directly on a web page, without going through the admin interface at all?
With Reason's inline (front-end) editing capabilities, you can quickly edit edit page content, news/posts, blurbs, and page titles within the context of your site.
Editing Page Content and Blurbs Inline
- Click the Login link in the footer area of the page.
- Click the Turn on inline editing link. The editable elements on the page (Title, Content, Blurbs) will display a link allowing you to edit them.
- Click the Edit link for the item you want to change. The content will appear in a WYSIWYG editing window.
- When you're finished making changes, click Save and Finish Editing.
- You can click the Turn off inline editing link to return to your normal page view.
Editing News / Posts Inline
- Go to the post that you want to edit. You need to be viewing the individual post, not the main Blog / Publication page.
- Click the Turn on inline editing link in the page footer.
- Click the Edit Post link for the item you want to change. The post title and content will appear in editable fields.
- If you need to edit the description (which may be where the actual post content resides), click the Show Description link.
- When you're finished making changes, click Save and Finish Editing.
