About News / Posts
News / Posts (or "posts" for short) are individual articles that you can publish to any of your Blog / Publication pages. Posts can have images, links to assets, categories, comments, "teaser" images, be marked as "featured", and can even be assigned to events.

- Click News / Posts from the Content Types menu.
- Click Add News / Post.
- Enter your content within the various fields on this page:
- Name: A short name that describes the news item. This is for internal use.
- Title: The actual title of the post. Shows up on the public site.
- Author: Author of the post
- Date: Date and time the article was published.
- Description: A very brief description of your post. Often used on the main Blog / Publication page instead of the full text article. Sometimes referred to as a "teaser," used to entice readers to view the full content of your post.
- Content: The full text of your post.
- Choose Categories: Check the categories your post should appear in.
- Keywords: Keywords related to your post.
- Status: Published (will appear on your site) or Pending (won't appear on your site).
- Allow Comments: Yes to allow comments, or No. The Blog / Publication on which the post appears must also have comments enabled in order for comments to work.

- Click Select next to the related event.
- Move on to another step, or click Finish.
