Adding, Editing, and Deleting Pages

Adding New Pages

  1. Click Pages from the Content Types Menu.
  2. To add a page, either:
    • Click +Add Page button, or
    • Click Add child to make a child page of that page. (Tree View only)
  3. Fill out the required form fields. (See Page Form Fields for details).
  4. To preview changes, click Save and Continue Editing and click Preview from the top of the left-sidebar menu.  (See Previewing Pages for more ways to preview your work).
  5. When you're finished making changes, click Save and Finish (if you're on the Edit screen), or Finish (if you're on the Preview screen) to exit.
  6. Once your page is created and saved, you can also associate other content types (optional; see Associating Entities with Pages).  This allows other types of content (like images) to show up on your page.

Editing Pages

  1. Click Pages from the Content Types Menu. (See also: Inline Editing)
  2. Click Edit in the row of the page you want to edit.
  3. Edit the form fields you wish to change. (See Page Form Fields for details).
  4. To preview changes, click Save and Continue Editing and click Preview from the top of the left-sidebar menu.  (See Previewing Pages for more ways to preview your work.)
  5. When you're finished making changes, click Save and Finish (if you're on the Edit screen), or Finish (if you're on the Preview screen) to exit.

Deleting Pages

  1. Click Pages from the Content Types Menu.
  2. Click Edit next to the page you want to delete.
  3. From the left-sidebar menu under Other Action Items, click Delete.
  4. If you have mistakenly deleted a page, you can "undelete" it (see "Deleted Items" in the Page Editing Dashboard description above), provided you do so within 14 days.

NOTE: You cannot delete pages that have children. You must first delete any child pages, or move the child pages to a different location.
