Knights’ forward Taylor Hanson ’14 (St. Paul) was named MIAC Men’s Basketball Athlete-of-the-Week in December and his stats rank him among the top players in the country. But he’s also a leader in the economics department. Hanson participated in the 2012 Economics in Cambridge seminar, which deepened his appreciation for his major and, last year, his performance as an intern at Minneapolis investment bank Greene Holcomb & Fisher landed him a full-time position with the firm when he graduates in June.
As a sophomore, Hanson battled back from a serious knee injury that taught him the value of perseverance. But that’s not the only skill that will serve him well in the future. “At Carleton, I learned how to work with people to get things done as a team,” says Hanson.
