"Hometown Ties: Carleton Celebrates 150 Years with Northfield" is an exhibit at the Northfield Historical Society Museum that highlights ways in which Carleton College has been intertwined with Northfield since the college's founding in 1866. The exhibit features many photographs and objects from Carleton’s history, including a 1940s-era telescope used through the 1980s for public sky-viewing nights at Goodsell Observatory and an original costume from 1924's May Fete pageant “Sigurd the Volsung: A Tale of Viking Days.”  The exhibit opens October 13 and will be on display at the Northfield Historical Society Museum until June 2017.
