C: Concentration

Students may elect to earn a concentration in addition to their major. Concentrations usually focus on issues that cut across the boundaries of two or more academic disciplines.

    McNally receives Guggenheim Fellowship

    Michael McNally ’85, professor of religion at Carleton, has won a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship in support of his forthcoming book on Native American legal rights, including those at the forefront of the current Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s fight against an oil pipeline. Guggenheim Fellowships are widely viewed as the most prestigious award in American scholarly life.
