Sam Neubauer '17 Completes Environment Minnesota Internship

January 9, 2014 at 1:33 pm

Sam Neubauer, a Carleton freshman, spent his winter break completing an internship with Environment Minnesota this month.

Sam organized a statewide student (Holi)Day of Action to mobilize hundreds of Minnesota high school and college students in support of limits on carbon pollution from power plants. During his three-week internship, he organized the event from start to finish. He learned how to plan a statewide event, recruit and motivate student leaders (including those featured below), write a press release, pitch media outlets like ABC News, and answer interview questions from reporters. Check out this great 2 minute video of the event he is featured in and read more about the event he organized below!

Thanks again for your help spreading the word about Environment Minnesota's internship program for current students and Environment America (our national affiliate)'s fellowship program for recent college graduates.
