A Little Carleton Experience

Last night, I was at a concert in the Cave to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the earthquake in Haiti. One of the groups performing asked the audience whether anyone there played the flute and would like to improvise along to one of their songs. Immediately, a guy in the audience pulled a flute out of nowhere and jumped up to play with them. He didn't seem to know them or to have prepared at all; he just apparently carries his flute everywhere and was happy to help out. He sounded good. Also apparently the group putting on the concert (Haiti Relief Carleton) raised more than $300 in donations, so it was a successful night all around.

I love it! It sounds like a scene out of Anchorman.
