I never saw the movie The Town so hopefully no big fans read the description and were like "that's not what happens!?!?!?!".
Anyways here are some shots from downtown. It was beautiful this last weekend and I went into town to buy some stuff and meet a friend for lunch. These are just a taste of what Northfield has to offer.
The Archer House building which is home to the Archer House Inn, Chapati (Indian cuisine), a small cafe, The Tavern (try the cajun burger), and a few other businesses.
Nofo's newest sweetheart, Tandem Bagels opened just a few weeks ago and serves up some great bagels and other treats.
A go-to for coffee, tea, smoothies or anything of the sort, Goodbye Blue Monday, is a great place to study or just relax.
Is this real life...is this a picture...is this a painting...anyways, just a shot looking down the sidewalk of Main Street. The Hideaway is another great cafe-type getaway from the pressures of school.
The Chocolate Cow is home to tons of different sweets, from jelly beans to crepes.
A look at a Main Street intersection along with the Northfield Historical Society located in the Scriver Building.
A small statue outside a shop. Nofo is full of interesting decor like this piece.
Looking westwards over the vast and mighty Cannon river. The bridge leads to an equally mighty Walgreens.
For a small town Northfield is surprisingly in touch with the arts. Plays, movie showings, and exhibitions happen in town often.
The town library is an awesome resource. While it may not have as many books as the Gould Library, it also isn't full of friends to distract you or freak you out about upcoming tests. Plus seeing people other than college students or professors reminds you that there still is a 'real' world.
Get a workout and get your hair done. IN THE SAME BUILDING!
The Grand is an awesome small venue where concerts and dances are held.
