Some Nights

“Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck
some nights I call it a draw”

Nights for knights* are either spent in Libe with best friends (readings) or spent in extraordinary ways, say knights’ combats, parties, saving princesses, SUMO movies, slaying dragons or other majestic missions.
I, as a freshknight, accomplished several missions in a 2-night-training. I don’t want to play humble here because hum… I explored the outer space, learnt to control an invisible weapon, defeated ghosts and defied gravity!
So that night, after enjoying meals in LDC, I went to Goodsell Observatory with comrades Sijin and Emika to learn about alien enemies and their habitats. We were all very excited because the 150-year-old telescope would be open to everyone. Through the largest telescope, I saw yellow stars and blue stars representing the best knights’ training academy on the planet (yah Carleton!). On the other side of the observatory, there’s a smaller telescope, through which we saw Saturn with its rings like a cup. Saturn is playful as its light interacts with Earth’s atmosphere, which makes its visibility variable, I truly wonder why it is not named Mercury 2nd.
Enduring the coldness at night as all knights do, we stayed outside to observe International Spaceship traveling through the sky above us. The spectacular impressed me deeply.
Soon after the journey to the Space, Sijin and I attended Chinese Club knights’ training program (Karaoke). Graduated knights and upper-class nights were there as well, as it is hard to control the invisible weapon. Willing to challenge ourselves, Sijin and I performed the old Knight song of love and gained recognition from other knights. Sijin also sang my favorite Korean song with Ian, an upper-class knight known for mathematical skills in slaying dragons, and they posed in the coolest knight fashion (see the picture).
Jin has the skill of singing Cantonese knights’ songs, which is another category of powerful weapons. It was great to hear she sing and feel the power of her voice. 🙂
The other night knights got a war notification. It was against ghosts in ValleyScare, known to be an amusement park in MN. Since ghosts were powerful, Jocelyn, Teresa, Sijin and I formed a squad. We fought against vampires, clowns, bodies and other ghosts on our way to roller-coasters. On the roller coasters, we were able to enjoy the thrills of defying gravity and scream for fear and joy. That’s the point of being a knight, isn’t it?
*knights here mean Carls
