When we listen to certain songs, we are often reminded of certain times and places where the songs were listened to. Here are the accompaniments to my Week 2 activities – and, of course, places to listen to them.

  • BTS – LOVE YOURSELF: HER This album dropped Monday morning at 5am. I’m listening to the entire thing as a write this blog post in Upper Sayles at the table next to Hill Lounge.
  • BLACKPINK – AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST  Rec dance studio. On Tuesday, I’ll start learning this BLACKPINK choreography for Karl-Pop’s first performance of the year. Fellow blogger/dance extraordinaire Chase is directing this dance.
  • LORDE – PERFECT PLACES (PEKING DUK REMIX), THE LOUVRE, & MORE… I’m so in love with Lorde’s voice and the strange, beautiful dances she does during live performances. Melodrama is incredible. Lately, I’ve been listening to her everywhere.
  • BTS – AM I WRONG, BAEPSAE These two songs are too hype for Monday mornings, but I still listen to them when I wake up. Good for short commutes from ASIA  (Hall House) to Sayles and the CMC.
  • LADY GAGA – THE CURE So uplifting. I listen to this when I’m walking around in the rain (like today).
  • SAMUEL – WITH U (FT. CHANGHA) Catch me singing Changha’s part and wishing I had a K-pop star boyfriend I could sing this incredibly endearing duet with. Been listening to this on my way to the Weitz and back from the art studio/former band practice room my Perception of Drawing class has been blessed with.
  • SAINT SAVIOUR – THE RAIN FALLS ON THE JUST Jammed out to this song with my friend in Hulings. Will be incorporating this track into a video collage for Perception of Drawing.

To the (initial) dismay of her parents, Eve is an aspiring fashion creative seeking to break the starving artist stereotype. When she isn’t drinking coffee at Sayles, the Minnesotan gal can be found wandering the Weitz, browsing memes at the Libe, or reinventing old recipes at Dacie Moses. On campus, she is involved in Firebellies, Karl-Pop, CSA, and Carleton Art Society, among other cool student organizations.
