This just in: it is absolutely gorgeous outside. We'd like to claim this 68°F as typical for Minnesota in November, but we're all about telling the truth on this blog, so let's be honest... it's a heat wave! Despite the work that's been piling up during fall travel, I had to take some time to stroll around Northfield and enjoy the sun and warmth. Here are a few of the things I saw along the way...
1st row: a roaming cat (nope, it's not Toff), Douglas House, my delicious lunch of Indian food, a student biker wearing shorts (in November!), the ice rinks on campus (no ice in them today), the weather report (68 and fair)
2nd row: two gorgeous trees, Willis Hall (first permanent building on campus and home to my major's department, Economics!), 3 more students baring their legs in this delicious warmth
Later this afternoon, Rich and I hiked across campus to check out the new Art Barn. Did you know that Carleton is home to the first liberal arts sawmill in the nation?
