Where to Stay

  • Although all students are welcome to visit to campus, only high school seniors are allowed to stay overnight with an Admissions host. These stays are available only when Carleton is in session, and in the spring, are limited to admitted students. To accommodate as many visitors as possible, we can arrange for you to stay in a residence hall for one night only. You must contact us to arrange your overnight stay at least two weeks in advance of your arrival to campus.
  • If your family is looking for a hotel, you'll find a few options within walking distance of campus, and even more within driving distance. There are plentiful options in the greater Twin Cities metro area, too. We encourage you to use your favorite search engine to find the best option for your family's needs.
  • Prospective students are welcome to check in with our front desk about options for eating on campus. Northfield also has tasty options for meals throughout the day!
