Rental Cars
Car rental is available from many different companies at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. If you are interested, please contact any of them directly. We have found in the past that renting a car is often the most economical way to travel to and from the airport.

First Choice Shuttle
First Choice Shuttle offers many options for transport from the airport and other destinations: call 866-444-9696 or visit their web site, http://www.youarriveontime.com/.

Northfield Metro Express
The Northfield Metro Express features multiple route times, seven days a week with convenient stop locations at Carleton, St. Olaf, downtown Northfield, Mpls/St. Paul International Airport, and the cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.  Learn more at http://www.northfieldlines.com/.

Where will I be staying?

CAVE registrants who request housing will be housed in Residential buildings on campus. CAVE registrants have the option to stay in local hotels at their own expense. Campus housing assignments will be communicated upon check-in.

What do I need to bring?

Carleton provides sheets, a blanket, a pillow, and towels for those staying on campus, though we've heard multiple times that you may be more comfortable bringing linens and an extra towel from home. It may also be helpful to bring an alarm clock, reading lamp, and a few hangers.

It never hurts to bring and umbrella or rain jacket!

What do I wear at CAVE?

We're not fancy. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Occasionally lecture halls and classroom breakout spaces run cold. Options for layering are useful.

Is there childcare at CAVE?

We do not plan for children's activities or supervision during CAVE.

Can I use my laptop?

Definitely. Instructions for accessing WiFi while on campus will be available upon your arrival.
