Then come to

MATCH Middle School Volunteer Day

and hear Founding Principal Lisa Hwang and staff discuss their process of starting a school.

Saturday, August 16, 2008, 9 a.m.—4ish

86 Wachussets Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA

The MATCH Charter Public High School is about to start its 9th year of working with Boston high school students and preparing them for college. This past year, the school got its charter expanded to start a Middle School.

Schedule:

9:00-9:30: Founding Principal Lisa Hwang will talk about what it takes to start a school.

9:30-10:00: Ms. Hwang, teachers, staff, and tutoring corps members will take questions. (Carls, bring your inquisitive minds!)

10:00-4:00: Work!!! Stay for what your schedule allows, all help is appreciated

Please bring your own lunch/water bottle, but don’t worry about bringing any tools, supplies, etc.

We’ll need help:

·Putting desks in classrooms

·Setting up the offices

·Decorating classrooms

·Putting up signs

·Organizing supplies

·Etc…
