Summer Send-Off

Please join Carleton alumni, parents, and new and current students for a potluck picnic! The annual Summer Send-Off is a long time Carleton DC Alumni Club tradition. It’s our way to welcome incoming students and the best opportunity we have all year for the entire local Carleton community to get together. We’ll provide some outdoor games (feel free to bring your own) and light refreshments. Dogs are also welcome in the park.

What to Bring: Members of the incoming class of 2022, prospective students, and their families need not bring anything. Current students, alumni, and your families, please bring a dish (and a serving utensil) to share. Water, chips, and paper products will be provided.

• Last name A-R: entrees or sides (sandwiches, salads, meat, veggies, etc.)
• Last name S-Z: desserts (cookies, bars, fruit, etc.)

The picnic grove is shaded and most tables are under a pavilion. However, IF THERE IS HEAVY RAIN, WE MUST CANCEL.

Directions: Picnic Grove #1 is located at the corner of Tilden Street NW (same as Park Road) and Beach Drive, across from the Pierce Mill. There is a parking lot next to the Mill. Driving directions and a map of the park are available online. It is about a 15 minute walk from the Van Ness or Cleveland Park metro stations.
