Oldies Sing-Along

Marc Reigel '67, founder of Carleton’s popular Night Crawlers band, will be leading an oldies sing-along in Northfield at the Lily PADio of Froggy Bottoms River Pub on Thursday, June 16 from 8-10:30pm. Reigel (keyboard) will be joined by Barry Gillespie of the Night Crawlers, Wendy Smith (guitar), Rae Rusnak (harmonica), and Lori Williams (saxophone) to lead songs from 1955 to 1965 that shaped the music that got Carls, Oles, and townies dancing to his band at Sayles-Hill and the Armory in the ‘60s. Songbooks provided will feature songs from such artists as Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Everly Brothers, Buddy Holly, Van Morrison, the Beatles, the Byrds, the Righteous Brothers, Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan and many more, including the Night Crawlers’ own hit, “You Say.” The Night Crawlers found new fame after a fan in the Netherlands established a Facebook page for them in 2010, gathering fans from 43 countries.

Go Go Girls Michelle Drenth '90 and Ann Shanks Etter '91 will add their special brand of harmony and fun.
