The Northern Ohio Carleton Club invites you to a

Cleveland Museum of Art Scavenger Hunt
organized by the Harvard Club of Northeast Ohio (HCNEO)

Friday, May 12, 2017
6:30 p.m.

Cleveland Museum of Art
11150 East Boulevard
Cleveland, OH 44106

Hosted by
Nozomi Ikuta '78 and James Watson '78

You are invited to play on a Carleton team against graduates from other colleges and universities in the Harvard Club of Northeast Ohio's annual multi-alumni-club art scavenger hunt at the Cleveland Museum of Art. A team is any group of one to four people who decide to work together. Last year, 200 people from 34 alumni clubs had a great time! Using photos of tiny sections of artwork in the CMA galleries as hints, teams will compete to identify them. All proceeds will go to provide college scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors in Cleveland public high schools. Winning students can use them at any college or university.

At 6:30 p.m. sharp the night of the event, Nozomi Ikuta and James Watson '78 P '07 '11 (recognizable in maize and blue garb) will meet you in the amazing Atrium. At 6:45 we’ll be sent off on two seven-question hunts. The first turned-in perfect score team entry for each hunt wins a four-person prize. At about 7:30, with the hunts completed, we’ll all meet back in the Atrium. While the results are tallied, drinks and appetizers will be available (on our own) from the Museum’s bar and restaurant. We can all hang out there until the Museum closes at 9 p.m.

Cost: $15 for adults and kids 12 and older. Kids 11 and under are free. Register via the HCNEO website. After you have completed the payment, you will be prompted for guest names and organization. Please list your Carleton affiliation in the Company field to help the HCNEO keep the total reservations for each group.

RSVP to Nozomi by Monday, May 8 at cnikuta@gmail.com. If you are bringing a child under 11, send an email to send John Miller at johnmiller@nasw.org to get the free pricing.

Directions: The museum is located in the heart of University Circle. The parking garage is accessible from Jeptha Drive. The garage is conveniently located within a few minutes’ walking distance to all major University Circle institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland Botanical Garden, Western Reserve Historical Society, Case Western Reserve University, and Severance Hall. Alternatively, metered street parking is available near the museum.

If you're coming by bus, the HealthLine rapid transit buses also serve University Circle, traveling Euclid Avenue from Tower City in downtown Cleveland to the city’s east side. Use the Stokes Boulevard stop or the Adelbert Road/Severance Hall stop. The museum is clearly visible north of Euclid Avenue between Stokes and Adelbert; the walk from either stop to the museum is 5 to 7 minutes. The #48 bus connects University Circle and the Cleveland Clinic to Shaker Square and Marymount Hospital, eventually intersecting all three rapid transit lines along its route.
