A presentation by Professor Emeritus of Art History, Dale K. Haworth

Please join us as we welcome Professor Emeritus of Art History, Dale K. Haworth. Professor Haworth will present a slide talk on contemporary Japanese art and architecture. A reception will follow the program, during which we’ll enjoy light refreshments and the company of fellow Carls and friends.

Professor Haworth taught at Carleton from 1960 to 1996, and his courses focused on medieval Europe. He was awarded Fulbright fellowships to Europe and Taiwan, as well as research grants for Europe and Japan. He also has directed off-campus study programs in Greece and Japan, and has led alumni trips in Japan, Italy and the Netherlands.

Cost: A $5 donation per attendee is appreciated to help defray the cost of Professor Haworth’s visit. Please pay at the event.

Directions: The University Club is located in the loop on Monroe Street between Wabash and Michigan Avenues. Via Public Transportation: The area is served by all of the el lines and downtown buses. Via Car: From the north: take the Kennedy (90/94) Expressway south to the Monroe Street exit. Turn left on Monroe Street and drive to 76 East. From the south: take the Dan Ryan (90/94) Expressway north to the Eisenhower Expressway exit. Take the Eisenhower Expressway towards the Chicago Loop and refer to the following directions. From the west: take the Eisenhower (290) Expressway west until it becomes Congress Pkwy. Turn left onto State Street. Turn right onto Monroe Street and proceed to 76 East.

Valet parking is available at the club for $15 or at Michigan and Monroe in the Millennium Park lot for $13.
