Lifelong learning and great theater, all in one! Join Professor Pierre Hecker for a lecture prior to seeing Shakespeare’s Othello at the Guthrie Theater. In his talk “Catch my soul: On Warriors and Handkerchiefs in Shakespeare’s Othello,” Pierre will walk you through the world of Othello, and dive into the themes of one of Shakespeare’s best tragedies. Pierre Hecker is Associate Professor of English at Carleton. He earned his D.Phil in Renaissance drama from the University of Oxford.
