We are pleased to introduce Laura Haave as the new Director of the Gender and Sexuality Center and Title IX Deputy for Sexual Violence Prevention and Tegra Straight as the new Assistant Director of the Gender and Sexuality Center.

We would love for you to join us to welcome Laura and Tegra at a meet and greet reception.  You will hear more about their backgrounds, what is happening in the Gender and Sexuality Center, and ask any questions you may have.

Laura Anne Haave, MPH, brings fifteen years of experience as a sexuality educator, sexual violence survivor advocate, and LGBTQA activist to Carleton. She has a master’s degree in health behavior and health education from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and has previously worked at Northwestern University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is an alumna of St. John's College, a small liberal arts school in Annapolis, MD, and she is very excited to return to this type of learning environment at Carleton. Laura is a teacher trainer and curriculum developer for the Our Whole Lives (OWL) sexuality education series, and her first visit to Carleton's campus was to facilitate an OWL training for the staff of the Gender and Sexuality Center in 2008.   (Pronouns: She/Her/Hers)

Tegra Straight, has a BS in Biology and a MA in Higher Educational Administration with a Specialization in Student Affairs from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She started at Carleton as an Area Director in 2010 and did an collateral assignment in the Gender and Sexuality Center.  The Assistant Director of the Gender and Sexuality Center is a new create position this year.  (Pronouns: She/Her/Hers)
