Join Missy Burkhead Stempien ’93, Curator of Museum Education, for a guided tour of Shared from the Storm:  Masterworks from the New Orleans Museum of Art, currently on view at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.  See 89 treasures of American and European art spanning more than 300 years from such masters as Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Georgia O’Keeffe, Pablo Pacasso, Jackson Pollock and more!  These incredible art masterpieces are traveling the United States to raise funds and awareness for the New Orleans Museum of Art Hurricane Katrina recovery effort.

Following the tour, you are invited to join us for lunch at Food Dance, one of Kalamazoo’s finest restaurants.

Cost:  $9 for Spared from the Storm guided tour ($8 per ticket/$1 for docent fee).  Lunch will be on your own.

Directions to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts 

From I-94 (East or West): 

Take the Westnedge North exit.

Travel north on Westnedge, which becomes Park Street.

Turn left onto Lovell Street.  Parking is on your left.

 

From 131 (North):

Take US 131 Exit 41 south to Business Loop US 131.  

Take Bus 131 south until it becomes Westnedge Ave. in downtown Kalamazoo.

Turn left onto South Street.  Parking is on your left.
